Training & Assessment

Many problem can arise when a lack of training and follow-up assessment isn’t present in a work environment. For instance, newer employees may be struggling to understand the business or their role. Or there may be a lack of standardization in operating procedures that is leading to confusion, redundancies, ineffectiveness, or even compliance issues. Here are a few ways that RCC can support your business in implementing or updating training and assessment practices.

Operations-Based Training

It’s important to support your position-focused informational materials with both training and assessment practices. There are many different types of learners, so offering in person or video trainings to supplement written materials is important.

We work with your current or new documentation and subject matter experts (SMEs) in relevant departments to create and facilitate engaging training materials.

We encourage supporting this training with assessment practices, which might include annual recertifications. Assessments can be written, verbal, or hands-on demonstrations.

Leadership Training

Leadership does not come naturally to everyone. If you have employees that you believe could be better leaders to their current or future teams, we can help. Our leadership training sessions emphasize how to be a confident leader, how to communicate effectively with your team, and how to create a trusting and dynamic team environment.

Train the Trainer

Even skilled leaders need refresher courses on their tasks, especially if you are trying to emphasize best practices. We will work with your current subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop and help facilitate Train the Trainer sessions.

Because we are not the experts in your operational and technical processes, we will rely heavily on your SMEs to help with curriculum development and training facilitation. By working together closely during this process, we:

  • Draw on your employee’s expertise for best practices.
  • Take advantage of the trust and reputation of your SMEs as authorities in their subject matter and your business.
  • Illustrate the trust and respect you have for your SMEs and their knowledge, which generally creates more buy in from leaders and other trainees.
  • Create curriculum that your team can continue to facilitate and update with or without our assistance in the future.

New Hire Training & Orientation

New hire training can be time consuming and draining on your resources. We can help you to develop a new hire training and orientation that is engaging and does not monopolize all of your resources.

We offer options for video, face-to-face, and hybrid trainings, depending on your resources, the frequency of new hire training sessions, and the nature of the materials.

We often recommend creating a generic training for new hires that is organizationally-focused, and then have position-focused trainings based on manuals/materials that can be used as needed for various hires.
